Welcome!

Dear Admissions Officers,

Thank you for taking a look at my art supplement. Since completing my college applications I have created two more mosaics that are currently hanging in a Wallingford gallery for a mosaic wall hanging exhibit. My "Angry Matisse" mosaic is currently on display in Cafe Appacionado, a small neighborhood cafe in Seattle. Unfortunately, I was not able to take pictures of my other two mosaics because they are on display, but I hope to have a picture of them up by the end of this month. Thank you once again for reviewing my college application. I look forward to hearing back from you in April!

Sincerely,
Zoe Kasperzyk

Mosaic Art

I've named this mosaic "Angry Matisse." I created this wall hanging loosely based off of Matisse's Blue Woman Series. I nipped the mosaic tiles in the shapes that I wanted and molded the pieces to the mortar. 11 by 9 inches

Multi Media Wall Hanging

I began with a book cover and stained it black. I found a magazine landscape picture and collaged it on the book cover. Then I hammered in nails to create a 3D aspect.

Painting

Using acrylics I painted a abstract design.

Jewelry

I made the bracelet by cutting steal with a saw, then applied a polish finish.

The ring was made from a wax form, using liquid wax to create the balls on top. Then I cast it with silver and applied a polish finish.

Paper Mache Mexican Mask

The Inspiration for this came from a popular motif I saw in Mexico. The form was crafted out of clay and then put paper mache over it. Once the paper mache was dry, I painted using acrylics.
